Here we are in April and it’s still COLD! Spring, where are you? Seriously I need to see the sun consistently! I'm a California girl and I currently live in Dallas, TX where it’s hot, hot and more hot. (Except in January and February when it ices!) On our recent trip to New York, I needed to be prepared for unpredictable weather and so did my wardrobe. Thankfully, we wrapped up our trip one day before the snow arrived.
Which brings me to my post......Layers, Layers and Layers!
Fashionistas agree that the key to pulling together an outfit is accessories, and the same can be said when it comes to layering. It allows you the versatility of taking a day outfit all the way to night with a simple purse or shoe change or layering over or under and the efficiency of pulling off a very successful packing job for a trip. Or, if you’re like me, the ability to wear the same outfit all the time without anyone knowing! I love to reinvent myself through my wardrobe!
The key is purchasing a staple piece i.e. a dress, blouse, or pant etc., then taking your accessory game and layering game to the next level…as I like to call it—mixing the High's with the Low's"!
I found this classic stripe shirtdress at ZARA for $99 and wore it multiple times shopping, for dinner, a stroll in the park and business meetings. A must have piece for your wardrobe…and honestly who doesn’t LOVE a great buy from ZARA?! I loved pairing it with my leggings then a bag & shoe switch and another great look.
Another Favorite piece is the Robe Coat by AYR (All Year Round). I have worn this coat soooooo many times to Las Vegas, California, New York…you name it! And it does just like the label stands for. A wonderful piece for "All Year Round" in all seasons and climates! Great for travel & layering!
